The Managing Director of Graphic Communications Group, Kenneth Ashigbey is urging journalists in Ghana to boycott a planned press conference to be addressed by the family of\u00a0<\/strong>Black Stars Captain, Asamoah Gyan.<\/p>\n

The press briefing which is scheduled to take place on Wednesday is expected to address questions on the disappearance of Hiplife artiste, Theophilus Tagoe, popularly known as Castro, who is a close friend of Asamoah Gyan.<\/p>\n

The family is also expected to make a statement on Baffour Gyan’s assault case against Graphic’s reporter, Daniel Kenu.<\/p>\n

[contextly_sidebar id=”0yV7aj4tJqYq9O5FMlRAusqlKF6PqvbC”]But the Graphic boss<\/strong> <\/span><\/a>on his Facebook page on Tuesday wrote saying, \u201cI will urge all journalists to boycott this press conference. People who assault journalists want us to cover them.\u201d<\/p>\n

He stated that it will be a \u201csin against all who have died in the cause of duty and all who are still being assaulted. I urge all Ghanaian Journalist & Media persons & house once in our live to stand for what is right.\u201d<\/p>\n

Daniel Kenu<\/strong><\/span><\/a> surprised his boss and many journalists in court last Friday, when he dropped the assault charges against Baffour, citing health and personal reasons.<\/p>\n

The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) and the Graphic Communications group were angered by his actions and are planning on a possible sanction.<\/p>\n
