{"id":50447,"date":"2014-09-23T16:48:31","date_gmt":"2014-09-23T16:48:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=50447"},"modified":"2014-09-23T16:48:31","modified_gmt":"2014-09-23T16:48:31","slug":"eurobond-will-raise-enough-revenue-tekper","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/09\/eurobond-will-raise-enough-revenue-tekper\/","title":{"rendered":"Eurobond will raise enough revenue &#8211; Tekper"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Finance Minister Seth Tekper has assured all projects that will be funded by the last Eurobond will be able to raise enough revenue to cover the bond and its interest.<\/p>\n<p>Ghana successfully issued a 1 billion dollar Eurobond a few weeks ago at a coupon rate of 8.125%.<\/p>\n<p>250 million dollars of the 1 billion dollars will be seed capital for the Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund\u00a0while 750 million dollars will be used for capital expenditures, refinancing and counterpart funding requirements.<\/p>\n<p>Concerns have been raised on how the bond will be repaid and whether the associated projects will be able to pay for themselves.<\/p>\n<p>Finance Minister, Seth Tekper speaking to <b>Citi Business News<\/b> gave the assurance that \u201cmany of them will.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to him, \u201ceven if they break even, it is worth it.
