One of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential hopeful, Alan Kyeremanten has described himself as the only person who has the magical key to unlock the doors to the party’s fortune in 2016.

He explained that the party has over the years tried a particular key twice which failed to unlock the door to its victory hence supporters should rally behind him in the contest for the party’s presidential candidate.

The former Trade and Industry Minister was speaking at his campaign launch on Saturday, ahead of the party’s presidential primaries on October 18.

[contextly_sidebar id=”OpHnUbtP15FLL6rgV94IzasXyzwaTk6r”]He said: “I want to inform you that God has a special gift for the NPP. God has given us two keys and we have tried one of the keys severally but couldn’t open the door. Let’s try the other key and it will open the door and bring us to power.”

Alan Kyeremanten however cautioned party members to desist from any act of violence which can bring the party into disrepute.

“We are not fighting it’s a new key that we are looking for to open the door which will bring us to power. A lot of Ghanaians are hoping that the NPP will come to power but let me warn you; that will not come easy,” he opined.

Alan Kyerematen sailed through with Nana Akufo-Addo, Francis Addai-Nimo, Kofi Osei Ameyaw and Joe Ghartey during the party’s Super Delegates Congress in August, 2014.

As at now, Joe Ghartey and Kofi Osei Ameyaw have bowed out from the race.

The rest will however battle it out on the October 18th presidential primaries which seeks to elect an ultimate candidate to lead the NPP in the 2016 Presidential election.
