{"id":47167,"date":"2014-09-14T18:08:42","date_gmt":"2014-09-14T18:08:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=47167"},"modified":"2014-09-14T19:18:29","modified_gmt":"2014-09-14T19:18:29","slug":"revelations-show-brazil-trip-was-contest-for-thieves-franklin-cudjoe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/09\/revelations-show-brazil-trip-was-contest-for-thieves-franklin-cudjoe\/","title":{"rendered":"Revelations show Brazil trip was &#8216;contest for thieves&#8217; &#8211; Franklin Cudjoe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Executive Director for Policy Think Tank, IMANI Ghana, Franklin Cudjoe has said narrations at the Dzamefe Commission can be likened to a contest of thieves and brigands.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you listen to the Commission it is as if it was a contest of brigands, thieves, highway robbers\u2026,\u201d said Franklin Cudjoe.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/06\/27\/we-need-a-committee-to-investigate-black-stars-loss-mahama\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #666699;\">co<\/span>mmittee was established to\u00a0investigate Ghana&#8217;s poor performance at the 2014<\/strong><\/span><\/a>World Cup Tournament.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;WzDwLgu9OZXk61d8aiJcbyj480Q3fOWx&#8221;]Government set up the Committee with the intention of resolving outstanding issues that barred Ghana from making it to the final stage of the game.<\/p>\n<p>But Speaking on <b>Citi FM\u2019s<\/b> News Analysis Programme, <b><i>The Big Issue<\/i><\/b>, Mr. Cudjoe said \u00a0though the Commission of Inquiry plays a significant role, it will be unable to tackle corruption in the country, saying ,&#8221;don\u2019t believe any of these things that are being done in the name of fighting corruption. This is not the way of fighting corruption\u2026It[Commission] is good for the purposes of public record and education&#8230; but this is not the way to fight corruption\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have been following the play back at the Commission\u2026and people go there to cry and they are told oh don\u2019t cry, you are serving Mother Ghana.Those thieves, those brigands , gangs are not serving Mother Ghana.
