{"id":44556,"date":"2014-09-04T06:44:00","date_gmt":"2014-09-04T06:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=44556"},"modified":"2014-09-04T06:44:00","modified_gmt":"2014-09-04T06:44:00","slug":"pastor-remanded-for-defiling-12-year-old-girl","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/09\/pastor-remanded-for-defiling-12-year-old-girl\/","title":{"rendered":"Pastor remanded for defiling 12-year-old girl"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>A 30-year-old pastor who defiled a 12-year-old girl has been remanded into prison custody by the Nkawie Circuit Court in the Atwima Nwabiagya District of Ashanti Region.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The accused person, Eric Kwaku Poku, said to be the founder and leader of Holy Freedom Church at Afresene is to re-appear before the court on Friday, September 19, 2014 to explain why he sought carnal knowledge with the minor.<\/p>\n<p>The court, presided over by Mr Michael Johnson Abbey, heard that on Saturday, August 30, 2014, a sister of the victim had gone to the house of the Pastor, served him with food and left.<\/p>\n<p>Within a few minutes, the pastor called the victim\u2019s sister on her mobile phone and pleaded that she allowed the victim to come over and run an errand for him.<\/p>\n<p>Upon reaching his room for the said purpose, the pastor was said to have forcibly had sex with her.<\/p>\n<p>The victim ran to her sister and reported the incident.<\/p>\n<p>A formal complaint was then lodged at the Mankranso Police Station and the pastor was subsequently arrested on Sunday, August 31, 2014.<\/p>\n<p>The Mankranso District Police Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mr Augustine Mensah told Graphic Online that the accused was then arraigned before the court and subsequently remanded into prison custody.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"http:\/\/graphic.com.gh\/news\/general-news\/29982-pastor-remanded-for-defiling-12-year-old-girl.html\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Graphic Online<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A 30-year-old pastor who defiled a 12-year-old girl has been remanded into prison custody by the Nkawie Circuit Court in the Atwima Nwabiagya District of Ashanti Region.
