The University of Ghana’s 2014\/2015 academic year will begin on Friday, September 5, 2014.<\/p>\n
The academic year\u00a0 was supposed to begin on August 11, but was suspended due to a strike by the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG).<\/p>\n
A statement issued by the University of Ghana however noted that the University will re-open on Friday since UTAG has called off its strike.<\/p>\n
\u201cFollowing the decision of UTAG to call of its industrial action, its announced for the information of students and the general public that the University of Ghana will re-open for academic work with effect from Friday, 5th<\/sup> September, 2014\u201d<\/p>\n The University further asked all students to report on that date for teaching to begin on September 8, 2014\u201d<\/p>\n \n Below is the full statement issued by the University<\/b><\/p>\n <\/p>\n REOPENING OF THE 2014\/2015 ACADEMIC YEAR FOR CONTINUING STUDENTS<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Following the decision of UTAG to call off its industrial action, it is announced for the information of students and the general public that the University of Ghana will re-open for academic work with effect from Friday, 5th<\/sup> September, 2014.<\/p>\n Accordingly, all students are to report on that date for teaching to begin on Monday, 8th<\/sup> September, 2014.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Enoch A.
