A Deputy Minister in charge of Tertiary Institutions, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has assured polytechnic teachers that government will soon pay their August salaries that were frozen as a result of their earlier strike.<\/p>\n
The Polytechnic Teachers Association (POTAG)\u00a0declared a strike on May 15<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/span> to protest government\u2019s decision to scrap the Book and \u00a0Research Allowance.<\/p>\n The Association however called off its three month long strike<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/span> after a series of negotiations with government.<\/p>\n
