{"id":44306,"date":"2014-09-03T10:46:03","date_gmt":"2014-09-03T10:46:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=44306"},"modified":"2014-09-03T10:46:31","modified_gmt":"2014-09-03T10:46:31","slug":"why-you-shouldt-text-and-drive-mum-ends-up-with-pole-in-buttocks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/09\/why-you-shouldt-text-and-drive-mum-ends-up-with-pole-in-buttocks\/","title":{"rendered":"Why you should&#8217;t text and drive: Mum ends up with pole in buttocks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A woman crashed her car trying to send a text message while driving &#8211; and ended up with a pole through her buttocks.<\/p>\n<p>Christina Jahnz said she was late for a meeting after dropping her daughter off at school in Elizabeth, Colorado, when she attempted to send a voice text through her mobile phone.<\/p>\n<p>But in glancing down, she took her eyes off the road and ended up crashing into a guardrail.<\/p>\n<p>The impact forced the wooden beam through her car and into her thigh and buttocks.<\/p>\n<p>Firefighter were forced to cut either end of the pole before transporting Ms Jahnz to hospital where it was removed in surgery.<\/p>\n<figure>\n<div><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Lucky: Doctors said Christina was fortunate the pole missed major arteries\" alt=\"Christina Jahnz\" src=\"http:\/\/i2.mirror.co.uk\/incoming\/article4149784.ece\/alternates\/s615\/Christina-Jahnz.png\" width=\"615\" height=\"409\" \/><\/strong><\/div><figcaption><strong>Lucky: Doctors said Christina was fortunate the pole missed major arteries &#8211;\u00a0<strong><strong>KUSA-TV<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ms Jahnz, who is expected to make a full recovery, said: &#8220;I lost count of the number of stitches after 40.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Doctors said she was extremely lucky the pole missed her major arteries.<\/p>\n<p>The mum &#8211; who spent four days in hospital &#8211; is now advising others to learn from her mistake.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s devastating knowing that I could have prevented it to begin with. I just hope my story helps to save the lives of others.
