One of the five flagbearer aspirants of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Francis Addai Nimo has told Citi News<\/strong> that he would consider his options before announcing a final decision to participate in the party\u2019s October 18 congress.<\/p>\n

Another contestant Joe Ghartey announced <\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span>on Monday quitting the race despite making the list of top five contestants.<\/p>\n

Addai Nimo in an interview on the Citi Breakfast Show<\/strong> said: \u201cI would also need to do a lot of consultations\u2026this is a project and I also need to engage my coordinators, I need to engage my team to sit and analyze the results and see the evaluation assessment…I need to do a broad consultation before any decision will be taken.\u201d<\/p>\n

Addai Nimo, the Member of Parliament for Mampong in the Ashanti Region polled 22 votes in Sunday\u2019s Super Delegates Congress, representing 2.85% of total votes cast.<\/p>\n

He indicated that his performance came as no surprise because he worked hard to win over the delegates.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was confident before the elections. I was confident that I will definitely emerge to be one of the five and so it gives me the encouragement that yes, interacting with the delegates nationwide has paid off,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

According to him, he views his presidential aspirations as a project \u201cand so Francis Addai Nimo 2016 presidency project is ongoing.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Mampong legislator acknowledged that the prospects of all the contestants will be analyzed ahead of the October 18 congress but he is certain he will make his mark.<\/p>\n

Following Joe Ghartey\u2019s decision, this means, only four candidates, Nana Akufo-Addo, Alan Kyeremanten, Francis Addai Nimo and Osei Ameyaw are in the contest for now.<\/p>\n

Francis Addai Nimo, has said the outcome of Sunday\u2019s Super Delegates Congress signifies a bright future for his presidential ambitions.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have been so much encouraged by turnout of events and many have congratulated me for my efforts and that means the future is so bright,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n
