One of the flagbearer hopefuls in the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Joe Ghartey, has announced he will not contest Nana Akufo-Addo and the three others in the planned October congress.<\/p>\n
Joe Ghartey survived Sunday\u2019s Super Delegates Congress with 22 votes representing 7% of the total valid votes cast which saw Nana Addo win with an overwhelming 81%.<\/p>\n
Despite surviving Sunday\u2019s contest, Mr. Ghartey says he will not contest in the final congress.<\/p>\n
The second deputy Speaker of Parliament in an interview on Sky FM in the Western Region said: \u201cI am not going to contest in the October 17 elections; we are all going to work for the NPP to come back to power.\u201d<\/p>\n
