This year, Citi TV and Citi FM took the \u2018Help A Christmas Child\u2019 initiative to Tokpo in the Shai Osudoku district of the Greater Accra Region.<\/p>\n

The aim was to bring smiles to the faces of children in the community who had also been displaced due to the Akosombo Dam spillage.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The \u201cHelp A Christmas Child\u201d initiative is an annual event organized on Boxing Day through the Citi Foundation, during which the staff and management of Citi FM\/Citi TV spend the day with the less privileged in society, showering them with goodies and sumptuous meals.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Over 30,000 residents along the Volta Lake and its estuaries were displaced following the spillage of the Akosombo Dam in September 2023.<\/p>\n

Citi FM\/Citi TV, with the support of the media house\u2019s cherished audience and corporate Ghana, provided relief items to the affected residents.<\/p>\n

Currently, a number of resettlement centers are at various stages of completion in some of the severely impacted communities.<\/p>\n

Tokpo is one of the communities benefiting from these projects.<\/p>\n
