{"id":413309,"date":"2018-03-26T10:20:19","date_gmt":"2018-03-26T10:20:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=413309"},"modified":"2018-03-26T10:20:19","modified_gmt":"2018-03-26T10:20:19","slug":"radford-university-college-to-introduce-llb-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2018\/03\/radford-university-college-to-introduce-llb-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"Radford University College to introduce LLB programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Radford University College will soon introduce a Bachelor of Laws programme (LLB) in its academic curriculum.<\/p>\n<p>Executive Chairman of the school, Nana Dwomoh Sarpong, announced this at its 5th congregation and 9th matriculation ceremonies in Accra.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-413316 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/ruc-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"768\" height=\"432\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/ruc-1.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/ruc-1-300x169.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He indicated that, management of Radford has sought approval from the Board of Trustees and work is progressing steadily for the Law programme in collaboration with its mentor institution, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).<\/p>\n<p>Nana Dwomoh Sarpong indicated that, they are committed to introduce curricula that will reflect present-day knowledge needed to transform the country and Africa at large.<\/p>\n<p>He said Radford has introduced \u2018Catch them Youth\u2019 initiative as part of the school\u2019s strategy to catch students young and develop their entrepreneurial abilities.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-413321\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/ruc-5.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"768\" height=\"512\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/ruc-5.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/ruc-5-300x200.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Radford Executive Chairman noted that, the College has decided to set aside some seed money for students with bankable projects to ensure they bring their dreams to life.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a university college, we would invite banks to identify and support students and help them shape their concepts into full blown business plans\u201d Nana Sarpong stated.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-413320\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/ruc-4.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"768\" height=\"512\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/ruc-4.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/ruc-4-300x200.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He added that, investors will also be invited to see the project work of students and finance them to cut down the growing unemployment rate in the country.<\/p>\n<p>This plan, Nana Dwomoh Sarpong said is to reinforce their commitment to train entrepreneurs to help boost Ghana\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-413319\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/ruc-3.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"768\" height=\"512\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/ruc-3.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/ruc-3-300x200.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, a total of 183 students from seven departments graduated. 19 representing 10 percent first class, 96 representing 52% got second class upper, 64 representing 35%, and 4 representing 2% got second class lower and pass respectively.<\/p>\n<p>President of Radford, Dr. Paul Effah, charged the graduates to be good ambassadors and put whatever they have learnt into practice.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-413322\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/ruc-6.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"768\" height=\"512\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/ruc-6.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/ruc-6-300x200.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cRadford has prepared you to be entrepreneurs for society and the world of work.
