{"id":412403,"date":"2018-03-23T10:00:45","date_gmt":"2018-03-23T10:00:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=412403"},"modified":"2018-03-23T16:16:36","modified_gmt":"2018-03-23T16:16:36","slug":"sk8-skate-fest-3rd-ghanas-street-skating-festival-hits-tadi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2018\/03\/sk8-skate-fest-3rd-ghanas-street-skating-festival-hits-tadi\/","title":{"rendered":"SK8 (Skate) Fest: 3rd Ghana&#8217;s Street Skating Festival hits Tadi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The feeling in the Western Region\u2019s capital, Sekondi-Takoradi, is getting hotter by the day as skaters, artists, painters and models prepare for the upcoming official Street Skating Festival in Takoradi on Saturday, March 24, 2018.<\/p>\n<p>SkateFest, which has come to stay as Ghana\u2019s official street skating festival, brings together skaters from all over county and even neighboring Ivory Coast to compete for the ultimate prize, a trophy as the best skater in the country.<\/p>\n<p>For three years in a row, organisers of this festival, targeted at the youth; Power Haus Promotions has unearthed numerous natural talents and\u00a0 helped polished others in many fields through SkateFest.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-412408 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/IMG-20180313-WA0010.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"408\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/IMG-20180313-WA0010.jpg 720w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/IMG-20180313-WA0010-300x170.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As a total entertainment festival, SkateFest has always treated patrons to amazing display of skating skills with wonderful side attractions.<\/p>\n<p>This year, organizer&#8217;s of the festival, Power haus promotions hints there will be performances from Graffiti Artists, Sculptures, Street models, Body artists, Magicians, Stunt motor bikers, etc.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>These will be interspersed with music and food bazaar.<\/p>\n<p>Marking the 3rd edition, SkateFest 2018 promises to be bigger and better and will feature fifty-five (55) skaters from Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi, Tarkwa, Bibiani and Cape Coast.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-412413 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/FB_IMG_1519150008052.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"479\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/FB_IMG_1519150008052.jpg 720w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/FB_IMG_1519150008052-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Acclaimed as the biggest event in Takoradi on Saturday 24th March 2018, all roads lead to the entrance of Takoradi Technical University (TTU) for the much awaited skating competition.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Kweku Afriyie-Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere-Darko Mensah, the MP for the Takoradi Constituency, Anthony K. K. Sam, the mayor of STMA as well as the Rev.
