{"id":41185,"date":"2014-08-22T16:27:01","date_gmt":"2014-08-22T16:27:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=41185"},"modified":"2014-09-05T16:11:57","modified_gmt":"2014-09-05T16:11:57","slug":"finalists-of-the-citi-write-away-contest-to-be-announced-monday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/08\/finalists-of-the-citi-write-away-contest-to-be-announced-monday\/","title":{"rendered":"Finalists of the Citi Write-Away Contest to be announced Monday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The top twenty (20) finalists of this year&#8217;s Citi FM Write-Away Contest will be announced on Monday August 25th, on the award-winning Citi Breakfast Show.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The 20 finalists have been selected from over one thousand entries that have been received this year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">According to the judges, the quality of this year&#8217;s entries is good &#8211; a trend which shows that children will improve in their endeavors, if they are encouraged to read and to write more. The criteria for marking included mechanical accuracy, organization, expression, quality of content, among other things.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The 20 finalists will be interviewed by a judging panel, on Saturday August 30th, after which the top three winners will be chosen for the ultimate awards.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The ultimate winner will be announced at an awards ceremony, which comes off on Saturday September 6, at the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel. The overall winner will be presented with a cash prize of GHc5000.
