An expatriate\u00a0working with the Aboadze Thermal Plant of the Volta River Authority in the Western Region has died under bizarre circumstances.<\/p>\n
The deceased, Anthony Brockle Bank,\u00a036,\u00a0was found lying dead in his room at Atlantic Hotel, Takoradi, on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Daily\u00a0Guide\u00a0leant that the deceased was one\u00a0of the expatriates who have been contracted to work on some of the plants being put up by the power gener\u00adation company.<\/p>\n
The body of the\u00a0British expatriate has since been deposited at the morgue of Eternity Funeral Home at Funko, near Takoradi.<\/p>\n
Confirming the story,\u00a0ASP Olivia Ewurabena Adiku, Western Regional Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), revealed that the deceased belonged to a company called Wood Group Ethos Energy in Britain.<\/p>\n
She indicated that the expatriate, who was lodg\u00ading at the hotel, was found dead in his room at about 11:15 am.<\/p>\n
She explained that on that fateful day, some workers of the hotel were on their routine\u00a0inspection of the rooms after their clients had gone out.<\/p>\n
When they got to the door of the room of Anthony, they knocked several times but \u00a0got no response.<\/p>\n
The hotel attendants then went for a spare key to open the door. The police officer said when the door was opened, the expa\u00adtriate was found naked with his head on a table.<\/p>\n
“The officials of the hotel then quickly called for a medical doctor who, upon getting to the scene and examine the body, dis\u00adclosed that the man had died about four hours ago”, ASP Adiku adrlori.<\/p>\n
