Teiman, is a relatively new community in the Ga East Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, with more than half of its residents relying on water from dugout wells and boreholes.<\/p>\n

Although the community has a booming private water distribution business, there seems to be no\u00a0regulatory authority supervising the safety of water distributed to clients.<\/p>\n

A 2014 Ghana Demographic Health Survey indicates that, about 30% of urban dwellers depend on this source of water, but who ensures water from these private distributors is safe?<\/p>\n
