One of the escapees in the January 21 Kwabenya jailbreak, which resulted in the killing of a police officer, has been arrested.<\/p>\n
The suspect, Emmanuel Kotey, was arrested by police at Asikasu near Asamankese in the Lower West Akyem Municipality of the Eastern Region<\/p>\n

According to ASP Ebenezer Tetteh the Eastern Regional Police Public Relations Officer who confirmed the arrest to Citi News,<\/strong> arrangements are currently being made for the suspect to be transferred to the police headquarters in Accra.<\/p>\n “He was arrested\u00a0as a result of police-community collaboration and we are handing him over to Accra as soon as possible to continue with the police investigations\u00a0because the offence was committed in Accra,” he said.<\/p>\n Seven inmates escaped, but four of them have now been rearrested.<\/p>\n
