{"id":406613,"date":"2018-03-05T15:31:01","date_gmt":"2018-03-05T15:31:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=406613"},"modified":"2018-03-05T15:47:29","modified_gmt":"2018-03-05T15:47:29","slug":"patrons-thrilled-citi-fms-kaleidoscope-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2018\/03\/patrons-thrilled-citi-fms-kaleidoscope-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Patrons thrilled at Citi FM&#8217;s Kaleidoscope [Report]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Citi FM<\/strong>&#8216;s <em><strong>Kaleidoscope<\/strong><\/em>, a night of live highlife music by legendary keyboardist Isaac Aryee, was filled with thrills and moments of great\u00a0delight for its patrons.<\/p>\n<p>The dancefloor of the Swiss Spirit Hotel\u00a0&amp; Suites Alisa\u2019s Ridge Opera, was a spectacle to behold as patrons, both young and old, danced their hearts out to songs which evoked lots of nostalgia.<\/p>\n<p>Master keyboardist and composer, Isaac Aryee, treated patrons of the launch of <strong>Citi FM<\/strong>\u2019s annual <em><strong>Heritage Month<\/strong><\/em> programme to great neo-traditional Ghanaian music.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-406053\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/launch-of-heritage-month-2018-and-kalaidoschope-19.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1001\" height=\"667\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/launch-of-heritage-month-2018-and-kalaidoschope-19.jpg 1001w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/launch-of-heritage-month-2018-and-kalaidoschope-19-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/launch-of-heritage-month-2018-and-kalaidoschope-19-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1001px) 100vw, 1001px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Isaac and his band performed songs from Osibisa, George Darko, Ben Barko, Bessa Simons, among other Ghanaian music greats.<\/p>\n<p>The over two-hour event chronicled Ghana&#8217;s musical history from the pre-colonial era to date.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-406056\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/launch-of-heritage-month-2018-and-kalaidoschope-27.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"999\" height=\"667\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/launch-of-heritage-month-2018-and-kalaidoschope-27.jpg 999w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/launch-of-heritage-month-2018-and-kalaidoschope-27-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/launch-of-heritage-month-2018-and-kalaidoschope-27-768x513.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 999px) 100vw, 999px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The performance ended with patrons practically begging for more.<\/p>\n<p>The Country Director of Young Educators Foundation,\u00a0Eugenia Tachie-Menson, expressed her delight after the event saying, &#8220;the songs took me back to when I was growing up. It\u2019s been really good and that might be an understatement. I am so happy, we should be charged for this.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Kaleidoscope was unique,&#8221; Ghanaian satirist, Kwaku Sintim-Misa (KSM) noted.<\/p>\n<p>Another patron, Akua, said she would be counting the days\u00a0until next year&#8217;s edition of Kaleidoscope.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I had a lot of fun. I wish I could have danced all night long. We have all the amazing old school music. All manner of awesome music. I just had a blast and I thank Citi FM.
