{"id":405674,"date":"2018-03-02T07:44:17","date_gmt":"2018-03-02T07:44:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=405674"},"modified":"2018-03-02T07:44:17","modified_gmt":"2018-03-02T07:44:17","slug":"gfa-meet-olympics-ghpl-injunction","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2018\/03\/gfa-meet-olympics-ghpl-injunction\/","title":{"rendered":"GFA to meet Olympics over GHPL injunction"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Ghana Football Association has invited Accra Great Olympics Football Club to meet on Friday, March 2 and discuss the latest injunction that has help up the start of the Ghana Premier League season.<\/p>\n<p>The new injunction was served on the GFA on Wednesday after which the FA announced the postponement of Week 1 of the Ghana Premier League.<\/p>\n<p>The letter to Olympics was signed by the GFA\u2019s General Secretary, Isaac Addo.<\/p>\n<p>According to sources, the meeting between the two parties was one of the conditions given by the Accra High Court after Olympics first presented its case to the court.<\/p>\n<p>Olympics was seeking a resolution of a case involving Bechem United and their use of an unqualified player in last season\u2019s Premier League.<\/p>\n<p>However, the court said Olympics and the GFA were to settle the case out of court but instead of meeting, Olympics say the GFA went ahead to hold its Congress which marked the start of the new league season.<\/p>\n<p>That forced the team to go back to court and get another injunction to stop the league season from commencing.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Source: citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Ghana Football Association has invited Accra Great Olympics Football Club to meet on Friday, March 2 and discuss the latest injunction that has help up the start of the Ghana Premier League season.
