The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is expected to disburse at least two hundred and thirty-six million dollars ($236,000,000) of the Fund\u2019s extended credit support to Ghana.<\/p>\n
The cash is expected to hit the government of Ghana\u2019s accounts within the next few months.<\/p>\n
This is however subject to Ghana\u2019s ability to meet key targets set under the agreement with the Fund.<\/p>\n
The move\u00a0Citi Business News<\/strong>\u00a0understands also comes on the back of the 5th<\/sup>\u00a0and 6th<\/sup>\u00a0reviews of the country\u2019s performance under the Extended Credit Facility (ECF) Program.<\/p>\n The Chairman of Parliament\u2019s Finance Committee, Dr. Mark Assibey Yeboah confirmed the visit from the IMF mission to Ghana.<\/p>\n According to him, the team\u2019s report points to an appreciable performance under the set targets.<\/p>\n \u201cAfter every review, if we are successful at the IMF\u2019s Board, then there is a disbursement.
