{"id":403729,"date":"2018-02-23T06:30:07","date_gmt":"2018-02-23T06:30:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=403729"},"modified":"2018-02-23T07:47:49","modified_gmt":"2018-02-23T07:47:49","slug":"mentally-challenged-woman-stabs-32-yr-old-son-death-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2018\/02\/mentally-challenged-woman-stabs-32-yr-old-son-death-2\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Mentally challenged&#8217; woman stabs 32-yr old son to death"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 52-year-old woman believed to be mentally challenged has stabbed her 32-year son to death at Kuli near Dzodze in the Volta Region.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect, Gladys Kporkporvi Tegah, was said to be home fetching water from a well, when her son [the deceased] came in with a nurse to give her mother a monthly prescribed medication.<\/p>\n<p>Upon seeing Cassius Tegah with the nurse, Gladys fled into a neighbour&#8217;s room; a magistrate court registrar said.<\/p>\n<p>The deceased traced his mother and made his way into the room to get her to take her medication. Unknown to Cassius, the mother was hiding a knife in her cloth which she later used to stab him in the chest.<\/p>\n<p>Neighbors who chanced on the incident were compelled to retreat for their own safety, and later rushed Cassius to the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead on arrival.<\/p>\n<p>Eyewitnesses told <strong>Citi News<\/strong>\u00a0that the suspect after allegedly committing the crime locked herself in the room.<\/p>\n<p>The Dzodze Police were informed about the horrific incident, and they have detained the suspect for interrogations including a medical examination.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: King Nobert Akpabli\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A 52-year-old woman believed to be mentally challenged has stabbed her 32-year son to death at Kuli near Dzodze in the Volta Region.
