Government is optimistic of a reduction in the cost of electricity for the rest of this year.<\/p>\n
The optimism comes despite proposals for an increase in utility tariffs by service providers.<\/p>\n
This also follows a stakeholders\u2019 forum ahead of the announcement of new tariffs by the end of this month.<\/p>\n
The average 14 percent reduction in the cost of electricity for businesses is expected to take effect with the announcement of new electricity tariffs by the Public Utility Regulatory Commission (PURC).<\/p>\n
