\n<\/strong><\/p>\nIt \u00a0said the NHIA owed the hospital a substantial amount.<\/p>\n
The NHIA paid a part of its debt to the hospital last Friday following a directive from the Health Minister.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe initial transfer that was paid was in the region of little over 1 million Ghana cedis but I hope in the subsequent days we will be given something substantial to deal with the trend,\u201d the Public Relations Officer of the hospital, Mustapha Salifu said.<\/p>\n
Mr. Salifu believes the NHIA will also release the rest of the funds this week to help the hospital settle outstanding claims that emerged from its past operations.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe NHIA released some monies to the hospital. But there was also a pledge for them to release another cheque to the hospital this week so I am sure that will help the hospital \u00a0to \u00a0clear all outstanding claims,\u201d he explained<\/p>\n
