Two Police Officers have been shot dead at Drobonso in the Sekyere Afram Plains District of the Ashanti Region this dawn.<\/p>\n
Ashanti Regional Police Commander, COP Ken Yeboah, who confirmed the incident to Citi News<\/strong> said the officers were returning from night patrol duties when they were shot.<\/p>\n He said the officers came across a road block, and immediately they stopped, they were fired at by unknown assailants.<\/p>\n \u201cThey were ambushed. They went on patrol and on their way back to Kumawu, part of the road had been blocked so when they stopped then they fired at them.”<\/p>\n Two of the officers died instantly, whilst the driver of the vehicle also sustained injuries.<\/p>\n The bodies of the deceased officers have been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital awaiting autopsy.<\/p>\n COP Yeboah said preparations are also underway to transfer the injured police officer from the Effiduase Government Hospital to Accra for further treatment.<\/p>\n It is unclear the motive behind the dastardly act.<\/p>\n –<\/p>\n By: Hafiz Tijani\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Two Police Officers have been shot dead at Drobonso in the Sekyere Afram Plains District of the Ashanti Region this dawn.
