The Managing Editor of the Al-Hajj newspaper, Alhaji Iddrisu Bature, has passed on after a short illness.<\/p>\n
Alhaji Bature, who is also an outspoken political commentator and a sympathizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, is said to have died today, Friday, at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital where he had been on admission.<\/p>\n
A relative of Mr. Bature, who was at the mortuary as at the time he spoke to citifmonline.com<\/strong>, confirmed the death.<\/p>\n The family in a statement said the late journalist, who is the founder of Al-Hajj Newspaper, will be buried on Saturday, January 6, 2018 in line with the Islamic faith.<\/p>\n Read the family’s statement below:<\/strong><\/p>\n Statement on The Sudden Demise of Alhaji Bature Iddrisu<\/p>\n The Iddrisu family and Harzet Company Limited, publishers of The aL-hAJJ newspaper, wish to announce the sudden and untimely death of Alhaji Bature Iddrisu, Managing Editor of The aL-hAJJ newspaper.<\/p>\n The late Alhaji Bature gave up the ghost few minutes past 3 p.m. at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital where he was receiving treatment after a short illness.<\/p>\n In line with the Islamic faith, Janaiza prayers will be observed tomorrow, Saturday, January 6, 2018 at his family house at Nima, Gorillas; adjacent UNIBANK.
