The Second Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), Dr. Johnson Asiama has resigned.<\/p>\n
Citi Business News<\/strong> understands that his resignation took effect on January 02, 2018.<\/p>\n [contextly_sidebar id=”qwMIj34xo45aDQejDSMJVBX1NTO43dgq”]Information available to Citi Business News<\/strong> also indicates that President Akufo-Addo has been informed of the resignation.<\/p>\n It is unclear what reasons may have led to the early resignation of Dr. Johnson Asiama.<\/p>\n But some industry watchers believe this may be as a result of differences in ideology between the governing NPP and the erstwhile NDC government that appointed him.<\/p>\n
