This aims at instituting proper sanitation and waste management system, which will improve health and the general living standards of the people,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou are being requested to help provide a suitable land area, which has access to electricity to facilitate this process, which will improve the waste management system in the country,\u201d the letter added.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-385778\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Special-Initiative-ministry-Zoomlion.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"735\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The cost of the project and the specific districts which will receive the machines were not stated in the letter<\/p>\n<p>This latest development comes at a time when many are questioning the relevance of the ministry after its 2018 budget allocation was found to be at least five times of what other key ministries were allocated.<\/p>\n<p>It has also come under serious criticism over its allocation of <a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/12\/21\/special-devt-ministry-spend-ghs800000-new-website\/\"><strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\">GHs800,000 for the creation of a website<\/span><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Although it has since attempted to clarify that the amount was a <strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/12\/22\/800k-website-saga-majority-moves-to-cut-off-ghc720-000\/\">typographical error<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, many believe it was an attempt to fleece the national coffers which went bad due to the alarm raised by the minority in parliament.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: Jonas Nyabor\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It has emerged that the Ministry of Special Development Initiatives has entered into a contract with the Zoomlion Ghana Limited to distribute plastic recycling machines to some districts in the country.
