An international financial institution,\u00a0Unity Link Money Transfer Company, has presented Hematology Analyzing machine to the Dialysis center of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).<\/span><\/p>\n

The gesture, according to management, is to contribute to the growth of the country\u2019s health sector as part of the company\u2019s Social Corporate Responsibility (SCR).<\/p>\n

The equipment, which is at the cost of GH\u023c30,000, will save patients the cost of visiting private laboratories, and also expedite healthcare delivery at the facility.<\/p>\n

Presenting the equipment to health personnel on behalf of the company, Country Director, Adwoa Odoom, said it was the beginning of a long-term journey to support the Ghana Health Service in promoting good health.<\/p>\n

She indicated that, the company\u2019s partnership with the hospital and the Ministry of Health, will go a long way to many more lives.<\/p>\n

Head of the Renal Unit at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), Dr. Kodwo Eyeson, who received the equipment on behalf of the Hospital, said it will contribute greatly to healthcare delivery at the hospital.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to him, the absence of such equipment poses difficulty to both patients and health workers at the facility.<\/p>\n

He commended the company for its gesture, and called for a stronger collaboration towards healthcare delivery in the country.<\/p>\n
