Legendary gospel music trio, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, launched ‘Abba Father’, their 12th album on Sunday, December 17 in Accra.<\/p>\n
The group which has been in existence for the past 29 years treated patrons of the launch to their evergreen songs.<\/p>\n
People who went to support the programme bought copies of the \u2018Abba Father\u2019 album at premium prices.<\/p>\n
The Founder and General Overseer of Breaking Yoke Ministries, Prophet Cephas Kwame Kpegah Tamakloe who chaired the programme, purchased the first copy of the album for GH60,000.<\/p>\n
The launch was also heavily attended by Men of God, business moguls, statesmen and showbiz personalities.<\/p>\n
About Daughters of Glorious Jesus<\/strong><\/p>\n This trio of songbirds comprises of two sisters and a friend; Cynthia Appiadu, Edna Sarpong, and Monica Owusu Ansah. Cynthia, the youngest, writes and composes most of the songs of the group and is the lead singer as well.<\/p>\n They started as part of the Resurrection Power and Living Bread Ministries choir,\u00a0 in 1987.<\/p>\n Later, the General Overseer of the Church, Bishop Akwasi Asare Bediako, saw their potential and encouraged them to form a group. They proceeded to minister through song at various church crusades and conventions.<\/p>\n Their debut album, Anwanwa do, was released in 1990 and they have since been one of the strongest forces to reckon with in the gospel industry.
