The Minority Spokesperson on Roads and Transport, Governs Kwame Agbodza has filed a request in Parliament for the Minister of Aviation,\u00a0Cecilia Dapaah,\u00a0to be summoned before the House to brief lawmakers on the recent incident involving a Starbow plane at the Kotoka International Airport(KIA).<\/p>\n
The plane, which was carrying some passengers to Kumasi skidded off the runway and crashed into a fence at the KIA. Investigations into the incident are still ongoing.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”8gkxY4PylbQWamUQneHuzsPcpQZojrC1″]But Kwame Agbodza, who is also the Member of Parliament for the Adaklu constituency, told\u00a0Citi Business News <\/strong>that\u00a0<\/strong>the Minister of Aviation must brief parliament on the state of the domestic aviation industry.<\/p>\n He stated that it is important for the minister to assure Ghanaians of the safety of domestic airlines.<\/p>\n \u201cI have filed a question in parliament for the minister to brief us on the cause of the accident and to reassure the nation that our air space is still safe. Don\u2019t forget we have a relatively safe record in terms of the aviation industry,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
