<\/p>\nNine persons suspected to be gun wielding land guards have been arrested at Gomoa Fetteh in the Central Region by the Anti-Land Guards squad from the Police National Headquarters deployed to the Kasoa area.<\/p>\n
The team, led by Chief Inspector John Danso of the Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) of the Ghana Police, arrested the suspects at the palace of the Chief of Gomoa Fetteh on Friday.<\/p>\n

The suspects are Abusua Panin Kwao Abeka, Stephen Abeka, Isaac Quansah, Isaac Aful, Alfred Sarfo, Mohammed Ibrahim, Obed Nyonyo, Daniel Asamoah and Adam Suraiya.<\/p>\n
The police also retrieved one pump action gun with six life ammunition, three expended shells of 9mm ammunition, three military camouflage uniforms, and some quantity of dried leaves suspected to be cannabis.<\/p>\n

Other items retrieved were one G3 magazine, three pairs of desert boots, three pairs of black boots, one black jacket,\u00a0 a tape measure, one cutter,\u00a0 six cutlasses, six knives,\u00a0 five scissors, a pickaxe, one carpenter saw, a screw driver and a receipt book labelled \u2018Gomoa Fetteh Asafo levy.\u2019<\/p>\n
The police have also arrested three other suspects namely Abdulai Mummuni, Timaya Sumaila and Kwasi Gyamfi at Alowan, who were seen protecting an estate developer, but no exhibits were retrieved from them.<\/p>\n

All twelve suspects are at the Kasoa Divisional Headquarters, and are being processed for court on Monday.<\/p>\n
Greater Accra Police arrest 50 landguards<\/strong><\/p>\n The Accra Regional Police Command, arrested 50 land guards in October 2017.
