{"id":375380,"date":"2017-11-19T07:35:29","date_gmt":"2017-11-19T07:35:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=375380"},"modified":"2017-11-19T07:41:24","modified_gmt":"2017-11-19T07:41:24","slug":"nana-addo-eulogizes-kaba-says-he-was-a-talented-journalist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/11\/nana-addo-eulogizes-kaba-says-he-was-a-talented-journalist\/","title":{"rendered":"Nana Addo eulogizes KABA; says he was a talented journalist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has eulogized late Asempa FM journalist, Kwadwo Asare-Baffour Acheampong, popularly known as KABA, describing him \u201cas one of the talented journalists of his generation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nana Addo in a tweet, joined Ghanaians to mourn and celebrate the ace broadcaster, and host of Asempa FM\u2019s late afternoon political show, \u2018Eko Sii Sen\u2019, who died on Saturday morning at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>The cause of his sudden demise is unknown, but there are reports he may have suffered some form of attack from a health condition.<\/p>\n<p>A statement from his employers, Multimedia Group, said their Chief Executive Officer, Kwasi Twum, led management and staff of the Group to his residence shortly after the news of his death.<\/p>\n<p>Nana Addo consoled his wife, family and the Multimedia Group for their loss.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-375381 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Nana.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"437\" height=\"140\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The ace broadcaster, was among a group of selected senior journalists, who joined President Akufo-Addo at the Flagstaff House this year, to ask him questions about critical national issues in his first press encounter since he became President.<\/p>\n<p>Many rated KABA&#8217;s question among the best set of questions that were asked on the day.<\/p>\n<p>Vice President <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/11\/18\/bawumia-mourns-asempa-fms-kaba\/\">Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, and former President<span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/11\/18\/mahama-mourns-asempa-fms-kaba\/\"> John Dramani Mahama<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, have both mourned and eulogized the ace broadcaster, whilst commiserating his family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About KABA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>KABA has been with Asempa FM since 2008. Prior to joining the Multimedia Group, KABA had worked with Top Radio from 2004 \u2013 2008.<\/p>\n<p>The broadcaster was a trained teacher at the University of Cape Coast after which he moved to the Ghana Institute of Journalism for Communications Studies.<\/p>\n<p>He later enrolled at the University of Ghana to study Political Science.
