{"id":366397,"date":"2017-10-29T12:03:14","date_gmt":"2017-10-29T12:03:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=366397"},"modified":"2017-10-29T12:03:14","modified_gmt":"2017-10-29T12:03:14","slug":"mobile-money-ticket-payment-causes-confusion-at-fa-cup-final","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/10\/mobile-money-ticket-payment-causes-confusion-at-fa-cup-final\/","title":{"rendered":"Mobile Money ticket payment causes &#8216;confusion&#8217; at FA Cup final"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fans hoping to secure tickets to watch the MTN FA Cup final between rivals Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Tamale Sports Stadium today [Sunday], are facing early frustration at the gates after being told the only means of paying for a ticket is through MTN Mobile Money.<\/p>\n<p>When the gates opened at 10:01 on Sunday\u00a0morning, fans who were already hanging around the stadium began to queue in excitement.<\/p>\n<p>However, that soon turned into frustration as some either did not have MTN mobile money accounts or did not readily find mobile money venders to top up their accounts to enable them make payments.<\/p>\n<p>This arrangement has also slowed down the process of ticket sales, as it takes a longer period to complete a mobile money transaction.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-366407\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/FA-Cup-Final-Tamale-sports-stadium-2.jpg\" alt=\"fa-cup-final-tamale-sports-stadium-2\" width=\"600\" height=\"411\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Some fans who spoke to <strong>Citi Sports<\/strong>\u00a0urged the organizers to consider accepting cash payments to speed up the process.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think they should take cash because some of us don\u2019t use mobile money,\u201d one frustrated fan said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t even use MTN so what should people like me do?.
