ACP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, acting Director General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), of the Ghana Police Service, has received her second promotion in the space of 10-days as she is set to assume the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP).<\/p>\n
According to Citi News<\/strong> sources, the promotion is to take effect from November 1, 2017.<\/p>\n [contextly_sidebar id=”PJOIZLQ88jrycJZXH4An6f9MidTLH0FN”]ACP Addo-Danquah was recently elevated to act as Director General of the CID, shortly after\u00a0accusations by Kwame Asare Obeng, also known as A-Plus,\u00a0that she tried to\u00a0cover-up\u00a0the corruption allegation against President Akufo-Addo\u2019s two Deputy\u00a0Chiefs of Staff, during a police probe.<\/p>\n Her promotion to the position of acting Director General of the CID, was criticized by sections of the public in light of her connection the scandal which some say compromised the credibility of the CID<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n In an audio said to be a leaked recording of a conversation\u00a0between A-Plus and ACP Addo-Danquah, the\u00a0CID boss was heard advising the A-Plus to withdraw his allegations against New Patriotic Party members because he was a member of the same party.<\/p>\n Her conduct was deemed inappropriate\u00a0and unprofessional, as she indeed admitted to speaking unofficially with A-Plus.<\/p>\n
