{"id":365256,"date":"2017-10-26T06:20:35","date_gmt":"2017-10-26T06:20:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=365256"},"modified":"2017-10-26T06:20:35","modified_gmt":"2017-10-26T06:20:35","slug":"energy-bond-auctioning-extended","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/10\/energy-bond-auctioning-extended\/","title":{"rendered":"Energy bond auctioning extended"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The closing date for the auction of the energy bond has been extended to Friday, October 27, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>This is a day ahead of the initial scheduled date of Thursday, October 26, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Subsequently, the issuing date for the bond has been rescheduled to November 1, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>This also is a day ahead of the former October 30, date.<\/p>\n<p>This was contained in a statement to investors and copied to\u00a0<strong>Citi Business News<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Citi Business News also understands that the decision followed requests by some investors.<\/p>\n<p>These comprised large local and foreign ones who requested they needed an extra day considering the fact that the structure of the bond is not a direct Sovereign one.<\/p>\n<p>Auction for the energy bond will be opened on Tuesday, October 24, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The 6 billion cedi bond to be issued in two bids is also done via a book building approach.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile the Book Build Format is being conducted through local primary dealer.<\/p>\n<p>Also, bids are accepted on a yield (%) basis\u00a0with all successful bids expected to clear at a single clearing level.<\/p>\n<p>There is however going to be discretionary allocation at the single clearing level in the event of oversubscription.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: Pius Amihere Eduku\/citibusinessnews.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The closing date for the auction of the energy bond has been extended to Friday, October 27, 2017.
