Boxer Abdul Omar gave Team Ghana its second medal in the Commonwealth Games after he won bronze in the Men’s Flyweight 52kg.<\/p>\n
Omar lost his semi-finals to Pakistan’s Muhammad Waseem in three rounds and picked up the medal for his efforts.<\/p>\n
He joins Razak Abugri, the judoka, as the only medal winners in Ghana’s contingent at the Games.<\/p>\n
Omar’s conqueror, Waseem will take on Andre Moloney in the final on Saturday 2nd August at the SECC Hall in Glasgow.<\/p>\n
OMAR’S PATH TO BRONZE<\/strong><\/p>\n Round of 32- He had a bye and got a “free” pass to the next round<\/p>\n Round of 16- He beat J.K.
