The Progressive People\u2019s Party (PPP) has accused government of experimenting with Ghana\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n
According to the party, government has shown over the months it has no pragmatic solutions in dealing with the difficulties the economy is facing.<\/p>\n
The party blamed the Mahama-led administration for rather engaging in needless talk shops.<\/p>\n
This comes on the back of a meeting on Thursday by the Presidential Advisory Committee on Economy.<\/p>\n
The committee is also to evaluate strategic policy decisions needed to support the targets and objectives of government\u2019s programme as presented to Parliament.<\/p>\n
The PPP\u2019s Director of Operations, Nana Owusu\u00a0Ofori is of the opinion that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government has failed to live up to expectation.<\/p>\n
He recalled saying, \u201cgovernment said that they had the ability to govern this nation and govern well\u2026and they talked about their resolutions to Ghana\u2019s challenges\u201d but they have failed to implement the resolutions.<\/p>\n
According to him, the current state of affairs in Ghana and the inability of the government to turn the economy around is proof that \u201cthey are unable to get a handle on the economy.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr. Ofori believes the activities of the committee will not make any meaningful impact.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo now this committee is going to take us out of this condition? We don\u2019t think so,\u201d he angrily said.<\/p>\n
He noted that the solutions are already known and the setting up of a committee is not the answer.<\/p>\n
The PPP Director of Operations warned government to sit up because the masses were burdened with hardships.<\/p>\n
