Some students of the Islamic Senior High School (ISSEC) in Kumasi, say some members of the public have started tagging them as \u2018One Corner Students.\u2019<\/p>\n
The students, who say they are unhappy with\u00a0the name-calling, have asked persons\u00a0doing this\u00a0to stop teasing them, since it amounts to stigmatization.<\/p>\n

The Thirteen (13) final year students, comprising nine females and four males, according to\u00a0Citi News\u00a0<\/strong>sources in the school, have since been suspended.<\/p>\n Sources added that, the students will return at a later date to be given another punishment, after the school\u2019s disciplinary committee presents its final report following investigating into the matter.<\/p>\n The students were said to have taken the video and shared it on their personal Facebook pages and on YouTube.<\/p>\n The circulation of the video prompted a swift action by school authorities who summoned them for interrogation.<\/p>\n Some of the students who spoke to\u00a0Citi News<\/strong>\u00a0on condition of anonymity said they are being teased each time a section of the public see them in the school\u2019s uniform.<\/p>\n One of the students said \u201cSome people tease us. They do call us \u2018one corner school or students\u2019. So we feel disappointed. I will advise people to stop calling us \u2018one corner students\u2019 and the rest.\u201d<\/p>\n Another student said \u201cAs my sister said it is true. Even if you are walking they will just say \u2018corner sec\u2019. So now when we are even going to school we feel shy because they always call us \u2018One corner SHS\u2019.
