{"id":360152,"date":"2017-10-08T16:30:51","date_gmt":"2017-10-08T16:30:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=360152"},"modified":"2017-10-08T16:30:51","modified_gmt":"2017-10-08T16:30:51","slug":"ritz-junction-residents-demonstrate-against-gas-filling-stationvideo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/10\/ritz-junction-residents-demonstrate-against-gas-filling-stationvideo\/","title":{"rendered":"Ritz junction residents demonstrate against gas filling station[Video]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Residents of Ritz junction in Accra on Sunday staged a demonstration\u00a0 to demand the removal of a <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/10\/07\/legon-students-run-for-their-lives-after-atomic-junction-gas-explosion\/\"><strong>Gas Station<\/strong><\/a><\/span> located in the area.<\/p>\n<p>This comes on the back of a gas explosion at Atomic junction on Saturday, that claimed seven lives and left several others injured.<\/p>\n<p>The demonstration began at about 6:00am with over a hundred demonstrators.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;2mdxWSDBELeKkX1l44JeJkQqE5sOSyG0&#8243;]The demonstrators gathered at the Gas Station in the area and refused to allow its operators to open for business.<\/p>\n<p>It took the timely intervention of the Police to restore calm in the area.<\/p>\n<p>According to an eyewitness, \u201cthey (the demonstrators) arrived here at about 6am numbering about a hundred. They were demonstrating that they wouldn\u2019t allow the Gas Station to operate today. This made the police rush here.
