Police in the Tamale Metropolis have launched investigations into the circumstances under which explicit photographs and video recordings of different women in\u00a0sexual orgies went viral in the metropolis.<\/p>\n
The pictures and videos reportedly show the women in compromising positions, performing various sexual acts.<\/p>\n
They \u00a0are suspected to have been taken by a Canadian national who reportedly engaged in the acts with them when he visited Ghana recently.<\/p>\n
The Public Relations Officer of the Northern Regional Police, ASP Ebenezer Tetteh, told Citi News<\/b> that the Police are looking into the matter following complaints from the parents of the man.<\/p>\n
According to ASP Tetteh, the parents lodged an official complaint to the police alleging that \u201ca friend of the man had stolen the hard drive on which the pictures were stored\u201d from him and distributed them.<\/p>\n
ASP Tetteh revealed that the police had begun investigations into \u201chow the pictures videos were acquired\u201d and whether they were \u201cgained with the consent of the ladies or not.\u201d<\/p>\n
The situation has provoked widespread condemnation from residents of Tamale with reports indicating that the women have fled the city.<\/p>\n
