{"id":35753,"date":"2014-07-30T16:21:04","date_gmt":"2014-07-30T16:21:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=35753"},"modified":"2014-07-30T16:45:38","modified_gmt":"2014-07-30T16:45:38","slug":"knust-unity-hall-on-fire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/07\/knust-unity-hall-on-fire\/","title":{"rendered":"Four rooms burnt at KNUST Unity Hall"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Four rooms on the 6th Floor of Unity Hall, Block B at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in the Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi have been gutted by fire.<\/p>\n<p>A student<strong>,<\/strong> Hammond Kwabena Jamal told <strong>Citi News<\/strong> that the fire started around 3pm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs about 3:00pm I got information that the block was on fire so I decided to rush down there. When I got there and one of the rooms was on fire, that was Block B, the sixth floor I don\u2019t know the exact room number.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He said the Fire Officers have arrived at the scene to put the fire out.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It started for a while and after about 15 minutes the Fire Service reported, and then they were trying to get the water into the room but it was proving quite difficult. After a while the fire got into the next room. As at now I can say four rooms are burnt.
