The long standing maritime dispute between Ghana and Cote D\u2019lvoire came to what appears to be a closure today [Saturday], September 23, 2017, after the Special Chamber of the International Tribunal of the Law of the Sea (ITLOS) ruled in favour of Ghana.<\/p>\n
The Chamber ruled that there has not been any violation on the part of Ghana on C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire\u2019s maritime boundary.<\/p>\n

It also noted that\u00a0Ghana has\u00a0not\u00a0violated C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire\u2019s sovereign rights with its oil exploration in the disputed basin in question.<\/p>\n
Below is a summary of Chamber’s judgement:<\/p>\n
