A group of contestants for the 2017 Exquisite Face of Universe pageant, on Sunday paid a courtesy call on the First Lady, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo, at her Ridge office as part of their activities for this year\u2019s pageant.<\/p>\n
The group of ladies numbering 35, will be participating in the final of this year\u2019s pageant organized by First Loyal Event Limited on 16th\u00a0September at the National theatre under the theme \u201cEat Ghana, Feel Ghana, Wear Ghana, Love Ghana.\u201d<\/p>\n
Addressing the queens, the First Lady urged them to take the opportunity to learn more about Ghana and its people, carry with them their positive experiences when they return, and sell Ghana to their various countries to help attract investors\u00a0into the country.<\/p>\n
She also commended organizers for the objective of the contest, which is to spearhead advocacy roles for the queens to help promote and achieve sustainable development goals of the United Nations.<\/p>\n
She further encouraged the queens to work hard and be positive role models, and work to improve the lives of women and children.<\/p>\n
She wished all the ladies well, noting that irrespective of who is crowned, all of them are winners therefore they should all contribute in their various ways to ensure that the goals for the pageant are achieved.<\/p>\n
Exquisite Face of the Universe is an innovative world pageant that brings beauty queens between the ages of 18 and 27 years, with strong passion for benevolence and development from around the world to compete for an ambassadorial crown.<\/p>\n
The winner of the crown becomes the global ambassador who promotes the Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) with a major focus on 4 out of the 17 Goals.<\/p>\n
