{"id":354340,"date":"2017-09-18T11:36:03","date_gmt":"2017-09-18T11:36:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=354340"},"modified":"2017-11-10T11:19:40","modified_gmt":"2017-11-10T11:19:40","slug":"free-shs-has-burdened-parents-yammin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/09\/free-shs-has-burdened-parents-yammin\/","title":{"rendered":"Free SHS has burdened parents &#8211; Yammin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A former Deputy Regional Minister of the Ashanti Region , Joseph Yammin has said the implementation of the Free Senior High School policy by the Akufo-Addo administration puts more burden on parents.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, monies parents were being forced to pay more to secure accommodation for their wards because of \u00a0the flawed placement processes.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Yammin also questioned Government\u2019s preparedness for a roll-out since the entire process has been fraught with challenges for parents and their wards who are beneficiaries of the program.<\/p>\n<p>The former Deputy National Coordinator of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) spoke exclusively to Citi News after he addressed supporters of the opposition NDC in the Asawase Constituency at an annual get together.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_354344\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-354344\" style=\"width: 768px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-354344\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/joseph-yammin-2.jpg\" alt=\"Joseph Yammin\" width=\"768\" height=\"576\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-354344\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Joseph Yammin<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cParents are faced with going to look for accommodation for their wards.
