{"id":352162,"date":"2017-09-10T14:49:10","date_gmt":"2017-09-10T14:49:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=352162"},"modified":"2017-11-10T11:59:33","modified_gmt":"2017-11-10T11:59:33","slug":"fire-destroys-shops-at-dansoman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/09\/fire-destroys-shops-at-dansoman\/","title":{"rendered":"Fire destroys shops at Dansoman [Photos]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At least 10 shops and a pub have been\u00a0destroyed by fire around Asoredanho at Dansoman in Accra.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-352168\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Dansoman-fire-4.jpg\" alt=\"dansoman-fire-4\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The fire, according to <strong>Citi News\u2019<\/strong> Marie-Franz Fordjoe started at about 1.45pm on Sunday afternoon at a pub along the Aliu Mahama Street.\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-352172\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Dansoman-fire-1-1.jpg\" alt=\"dansoman-fire-1\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It quickly spread to other shops, as residents tried various means to put it out.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-352167\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Dansoman-fire-3.jpg\" alt=\"dansoman-fire-3\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" \/><\/p>\n<p>According to some eyewitnesses, it\u00a0took personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) about 30 minutes to report to the scene after an urgent call was placed to draw their attention to the incident.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-352166\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Dansoman-fire-2.jpg\" alt=\"dansoman-fire-2\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Although the cause of the fire is not known, some residents say the fire started from the Pub before gutting adjoining shops\u00a0and a chop bar.<\/p>\n<p>There has been no report of casualty so far.<\/p>\n<p>Personnel of the Ghana Police Service are\u00a0currently at the scene to control the situation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: Jonas Nyabor\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At least 10 shops and a pub have been\u00a0destroyed by fire around Asoredanho at Dansoman in Accra.
