{"id":349425,"date":"2017-08-30T18:20:57","date_gmt":"2017-08-30T18:20:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=349425"},"modified":"2017-11-10T12:35:41","modified_gmt":"2017-11-10T12:35:41","slug":"ssnit-confirms-mis-managers-degrees-are-fake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/08\/ssnit-confirms-mis-managers-degrees-are-fake\/","title":{"rendered":"SSNIT confirms MIS Manager\u2019s degrees are fake"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>All degrees presented by the beleaguered SSNIT MIS Manager, <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/08\/28\/ssnit-interdicts-gm-of-mis-over-suspicious-university-degrees\/\"><strong>Caleb Afaglo<\/strong><\/a><\/span> for his appointment are fake.<\/p>\n<p>This is according to the new management and board of the SSNIT.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;4vmmzTnGPQmCq1v9k6Z0RdL083pvROT6&#8243;]SSNIT said its independent evidence gathered about Mr. Afaglo\u2019s qualifications, indicate that they were fake, and it has therefore taken a decision to relieve him of his duty.<\/p>\n<p>This comes at a time when the Trust has come under intense public pressure for blowing some $72 million on a project meant to network all of its branches and ensure efficiency in its operation.<\/p>\n<p>The project included the installation of a software to ensure that its headquarters receives data directly from all of its offices.<\/p>\n<p>Aside suggestions that the cost was bloated, the software procured is said not to be fully functional.<\/p>\n<p>Amidst the controversy, it emerged that the General Manager of MIS at SSNIT, Caleb Afaglo, who was appointed to the position in 2015, did not hold the right qualifications.<\/p>\n<p>He was interdicted by the management of the Trust over suspicions his Bachelors\u2019, Masters\u2019 and Doctorate degrees were fake.<\/p>\n<p>The Economic and Organized Crimes Office (EOCO) conducted raids in his house, seized his passport and froze his bank account to commence investigations into his qualifications.<\/p>\n<p>EOCO was also interrogating members of his household, and has confiscated a number of documents belonging to him.<\/p>\n<p>But the Management of SSNIT on Wednesday, said it is fully convinced the degrees are fake and has therefore taken the decision to sack Mr. Afaglo.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Afaglo&#8217;s CV indicates that he acquired his BSC and MBA from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a PHD from the Kennedy Western University, which was an affiliate of the University of Cincinnati until it was closed down in 2011.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: Jonas Nyabor\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All degrees presented by the beleaguered SSNIT MIS Manager, Caleb Afaglo for his appointment are fake.
