{"id":34900,"date":"2014-07-27T18:00:53","date_gmt":"2014-07-27T18:00:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=34900"},"modified":"2014-07-27T17:33:56","modified_gmt":"2014-07-27T17:33:56","slug":"northern-muslim-clerics-pray-for-peace-and-prosperity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/07\/northern-muslim-clerics-pray-for-peace-and-prosperity\/","title":{"rendered":"Northern Muslim Clerics pray for peace and prosperity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Muslims Clerics in the Northern Regional capital Tamale have ended the 2014 Ramadan Quranic recitation dubbed the \u201c<strong>Tafsir\u201d<\/strong> with a call for peace and stability.<\/p>\n<p>They also called for divine intervention on the nation\u2019s broken economy which has demoralized the masses.<\/p>\n<p>Some of them paid for airtime on radio and television networks to reach out to Muslims around the globe.<\/p>\n<p>Spiritual leader of the Masjidul Qudwah Mosque in Tamale, Sheikh Amin Bamba hammered on Dagbon\u2019s peace and unity.<\/p>\n<p>He said Dagbon could no longer gain prominence in the mass media for the wrong reasons, hence the need to redeem the area\u2019s sinking image.<\/p>\n<p>Sheikh Amin Bamba therefore impressed upon Dagbon chiefs to deepen reconciliation and unity among their subjects.<\/p>\n<p>He pleaded with leaders of the Muslim community in Tamale to stop interfering in chieftaincy matters and by extension decouple themselves from partisan politics.<\/p>\n<p>Sheikh Amin Bamba charged his colleagues to serve as Ambassadors of Allah by mobilizing their followers for constructive purposes.<\/p>\n<p>On education, Sheikh Amin Bamba who is running Basic English and Arabic school in Tamale called Bamba Academy declared his intention to expand it to tertiary level.<\/p>\n<p>He reminded Muslim parents of their responsibility to invest in their children\u2019s education.<\/p>\n<p>Head of the Shia Muslim sect in Tamale, Sheikh Abdul Mumin Dalihu called for ceasefire in Gaza.<\/p>\n<p>The renowned Sheikh Dalihu who doubles as the Tamale Zongo community chief condemned what he described as the needless turmoil between Hamas militants and the Israeli military which has destroyed several lives and property.<\/p>\n<p>He prayed for Allah\u2019s forgiveness on the souls of the dead and appealed to world leaders to intensify the peace talks.<\/p>\n<p>The annual Ramadan Quranic recitation dubbed the \u201cTafsir\u201d is an important pillar of Islam which offers learned Islamic scholars the opportunity to spread the gospel of Islam through mass gatherings.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By: Abdul Karim Naatogmah\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Muslims Clerics in the Northern Regional capital Tamale have ended the 2014 Ramadan Quranic recitation dubbed the \u201cTafsir\u201d with a call for peace and stability.
