Nana Boakye-Yiadom<\/span><\/a><\/span> has joined the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) for a one month training programme. His stint with the BBC is part of his prize for coming tops in the African Story Challenge with his documentary \u201cPhone Farming\u201d.<\/p>\nDuring his time at the BBC, he will be working with the major programmes on the world service. He is currently working with the Focus on Africa team and scheduled to work with the BBC\u2019s flagship News Day team and move on to other shows.<\/p>\n
Aside mainstream on-air programming, he is working with the BBC Social Media team to apprise himself of the latest trends in consolidating online presence.<\/p>\n
According to Nana Boakye-Yiadom, \u201cthe experience has been amazing so far. Working with all these people I listen to at dawn and during the day has been awesome\u201d. He added that \u201cthe best part is, they (the BBC presenters) are all so willing to help me understand what is going on\u201d.<\/p>\n
Nana Boakye-Yiadom will later have a stint with BBC TV too and said he hopes to build his capacity as much as possible.<\/p>\n
So far he’s worked closely with the likes of Audrey Brown, Paul Bakibinga and Akwasi Sarpong and is looking forward to working with TV personalities like Peter Okwoche.<\/p>\n
