sprinkling of their traditional food; \u201cKpokpoe\u201d amidst gunshots, singing and drumming.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-344337 aligncenter\" Ayi Bonte II, the traditional leaders, clothed in red apparels, moved from one home to the other, sprinkling the traditional food and blessing their subjects.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the festival, there was a month-long ban on noise making and drumming in the capital city, Accra.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-344332 aligncenter\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Ga-Mashie group celebrates the festival first followed by other towns including the La and Teshie groups.<\/p>\n<p>Homowo recounts the migration of the Gas and reveals
