Ghana got their Commonwealth Games off to a good start when swimmers Abeiku Jackson and Kwaku Addo placed first and second in respectively in their 50m butterfly heats.<\/p>\n
Abeiku Jackson finished with a time of 27:21 and\u00a0 Kweku Addo finished with a time of 27:80.The two youngsters are competing at their first major international seniors event.<\/p>\n
Abeiku is in Grade 8 at Soul Clinic International School, Accra and aspires to be an electronic engineer after his swimming career.<\/p>\n
In an interview before the team’s departure he expressed\u00a0 his desire to win medals.<\/p>\n
“My\u00a0 swimming career will not end until I\u00a0 haV a world or Olympic gold medal on my neck. ”<\/p>\n
He is affiliated to the Tesano Dolphins Swimming Club.<\/p>\n
